Bitcoin Jackets

Bitcoin21 makes exactly two jackets, and each Bitcoin jacket does a different job. The Sherpa keeps you warm on cold, dry days; the Worker Jacket is the cotton layer for the seasons in between. Both come with the logo in orange or in a tone-on-tone Privacy version.

Bitcoin Sherpa Jacket — warmth on dry days

The Bitcoin Sherpa Jacket is double-sided sherpa with soft fleece inside, 480 g/m², made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester. It has side pockets with a button and a zipped chest pocket, and the Bitcoin21 logo is printed in orange on the chest. Worn over a hoodie, it gives you two layers with air in between, and that air is what keeps you warm. €60.

What it cannot do is stop wind or keep out rain. Fleece has an open structure: wind pushes the warm air out, and water soaks through instead of running off. On wet or blustery days, reach for the Worker Jacket.

Bitcoin Worker Jacket — organic cotton twill

The Bitcoin Worker Jacket is cut from a sturdy 340 g/m² twill in 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton. It is washed after sewing, which gives it a slightly faded character. Recycled horn-look buttons, a chest pocket, two patch pockets at the hem, a collar stand and buttoned cuffs. The orange logo on the chest is embroidered, and the jacket is finished in Hamburg. Regular unisex fit, sizes S to XXL. €65.

The Privacy versions

The Bitcoin Sherpa Jacket Privacy comes in black, sizes XS to XXL, with a stand collar and the logo printed tone-on-tone on the chest pocket — printed, because sherpa fleece does not take clean embroidery. €60. The Bitcoin Worker Jacket Privacy has its logo embroidered tone-on-tone and comes in washed dark camel, washed indigo, washed navy blue and washed organic khaki. €65.

Which jacket for which day?

Cold and dry: Sherpa, ideally over a hoodie. Mild, breezy or with the odd shower: Worker Jacket, on its own over a T-shirt or over a sweatshirt as a second layer. Cotton slows wind better than fleece and copes with a few drops, but it is not coated, so in steady rain it eventually soaks through. You can also combine the two and wear the Worker Jacket over the Sherpa.

Sizing differs slightly. For the Worker Jacket take your usual size, or one size up if you want to layer it over a hoodie. For the Sherpa, your usual size gives a classic fit and one size up a looser look. Wash the Worker Jacket separately at first, as the washed shades can bleed a little.
